Find the right café for right now
SipSpot matches you to New Orleans cafés by what you're actually there to do — study, work, catch up with a friend — and what you can actually eat.
Find a café →Right now
We're starting with a dozen cafés within a 10-minute walk of Tulane and Loyola, tagged by hand. If you're one of roughly 13,000 Uptown undergrads, this is for you first — we'll grow the map as we go. Our first month: launch the site with 20+ NOLA cafés tagged, push it on Instagram/TikTok and dorm flyers, partner with 2–3 student orgs, then a referral push to reach our first 100 users.
The problem
Wifi on one tab, noise level on a review site, "can I actually eat here" nowhere at all. Café-hopping burns time before you've even sat down.
They're built for finding a place, not for what you need once you're there — and neither filters for allergies or dietary needs at all.
Search by purpose — study, work, or hang out — and filter by dietary need, in one pass. Not two searches. One.
Who we are & what we're about
"SipSpot helps college students find the café that fits their afternoon — and their diet — in one search."
We're New Orleans college students ourselves — SipSpot's first customers, building the tool we wish we had. Our goal isn't to be another directory of every café in the city; it's to make sure the dozen or so spots near you are ones you can actually trust to fit your afternoon, before you walk over.
How the matching works
Study, work, or catch up with a friend.
Dietary and allergy needs, filtered alongside purpose — not a separate search.
Get a short list of Uptown spots that actually fit, with the practical details up front.
